NOCODE is the new Powerpoint
Just anyone can create a presentation, soon anyone will be able to create an App.
Those of us that are old enough to have witnessed the birth of PowerPoint have a clear memory of a time in which no one created presentations. These days every kid in school makes presentations as part of their homework, and in many companies, slides have displaced documents for internal or public publication.
Yes, there was a time when most people didn’t know how to use a presentation creation tool such as PowerPoint or Google Presentations. This state of affairs seems almost absurd when you consider a world where almost everyone creates and shares these documents all the time.
The Future of NOCODE
Using NOCODE tools and services will become a general skill in the not too distant future, just like creating presentations.
Does this mean that NOCODE tools will create all software? No, just like not all presentations are made with the tools that most people use. In most high-level design agencies, presentations are created using specialized drawing, design, and publishing tools. In time most digital products such as apps, sites, and publications will be made using NOCODE tools. In contrast, some particular ones will require the skills of professional software developers.
So, NOCODE will replace traditional developers?
Not at all! NOCODE will enable more people to create digital products, helping alleviate a global shortage of skilled software developers. These will be able to put their skills working in situations that demand their knowledge and experience.
Skilled software developers will probably use NOCODE tools to get through the portions of their work that don’t require highly custom work. After all, when there is so much demand for his skills in creating complex software, why should he spend his time doing repetitive work that he could probably do in his sleep?
As a person who has worked with software development since I was twelve years old, I have always embraced technology to be more productive. NOCODE is precisely that! NOCODE allows me to create digital products and solutions that would take me months in just a few days. Even though we were already using NOCODE tools for some time, I was surprised when we developed an MVP, including most of an online learning platform, in just two weeks. I was hooked!
As a business person, I want to spend as little time as possible in coding and as much as possible in making sure my business is working well. NOCODE tools provided a way to focus on the business while providing a great app for our users, going from concept to launch in about a month.

NOCODE is the new Powerpoint
I like the analogy to Powerpoint. While it is still not NOCODE I think the trend in home automation has captured the enthusiast. The application IFTTT which can be used with the popular systems Alexa, Google Home and Siri might be an interesting example. Looking forward to readimg more.
